Blogtober 25 - A beautiful day

We had a birthday party to attend this morning for twins whom we have known since before they were born. It was their 4th Birthday party and they had a ball. So we wrapped up the two bags I finished yesterday, each one containing a waterproof torch that only takes 2AA batteries and has red, blue and green lights as well as the usual torch light. The presents were a hit! One of the two bags had all of the recipients presents put inside and then was carried around for the duration of the party. I figure that is the best type of present feedback! The other one got carried around at the end of the party (the more active kid!) with everything stuffed inside it as well so we think we did a good job there.

Dropped via our house to collect a couple of nappies and some bread rolls for the kids and then headed over to Eltham for the Practically Green festival. Always interesting to see what new green products are available and what the current advice is for Solar power and water and other living green stuff. There was a section of stalls that had all sorts of stuff for sale like cloth nappies, bags made from recycled plastic bags and tyre inners, local honey, eco friendly cleaners, all sorts of stuff really. It is held at Edendale Farm and down the back they had a great selection of noise making gear for kids, all outside and all intended for bashing and crashing and musicality. The kids had a ball!

The weather held out and it did warm up so no rain on our heads today which was great.

We got home and I deboned a leg of lamb and chucked it in the oven with some spuds, sweet potato, pumpkin, carrots, zucchini, onions and garlic and we had a lovely roast for dinner in an hour. Boys are all in bed, although Tyler is trying to stay awake, will have to go deal with him in a moment!

Hope you had a great weekend and made the most of the nice weather!

Love the bags - handmade presents really are the best!
Love the sound of dinner - can I come round too?

Sounds like you had a great Sunday. The presents were definitely hits!

BTW, Nice is not how I would describe Sunday's weather here! Cool, wet, miserable.
