Yesterday was a good day

There was a big sewing bee yesterday in Brunswick, hosted by Nikki, to make bags for the rainbow comfort packs which will be delivered in a couple of weeks time. It was a fantastic day with heaps of people cutting sewing and embellishing bags, t-shirts and hairbands.

In an email I received at the conclusion of the day Nikki wrote"...80 bags, 22 t-shirts and 21 hair ties were finished. More bags went home with people to finish later and post back."

Now it feels a little better.

If you would like to make a bag to be used in this project, there are some instructions here and they can be sent here for filling, or you can fill them up yourself and then send them in.

Happy sewing!

Thanks for your advice re the carrots. What a shame! Growing things from seed really isn't my forte!
